5 Minute No-Bake Strawberry Cheesecake: The Perfect Budget Dessert

Puree 300g frozen strawberries and 30ml water in the food processor

We decided to use frozen strawberries because they are more convenient and cost-effective.

Living in a tropical climate, it can be tough to find fresh strawberries, so this was the perfect alternative.

Cook the pureed strawberry until half of the water has evaporated then put it aside.

You may have experienced runny cream after adding fruits, but cooking the strawberries helps reduce their acidity and create a more stable texture.

Strawberry Custard - 250ml pureed strawberry/ 2 tbsp sugar/ 150ml milk/ 4 tbsp corn flour

To make this cream cheesecake lighter, we're adding custard. Instead of making it from scratch, we're using corn flour, which is quicker and easier.

And with no egg yolks needed, this recipe is even more budget-friendly.

Continuously stir the corn flour custard mixture until it reaches a thick, gel-like consistency. Once achieved, cover the top with plastic cling film or baking paper to prevent a hardened layer from forming.
Non Dairy Whipped Cream - 100ml

Whip 100ml of non-dairy whipping cream to stiff peaks, then gradually fold it into 100ml of strawberry custard until the desired stiff peak texture is achieved. Incorporate 200ml or 2/3 of the cream cheese mixture into the custard.

Creamcheese Mixture : Mixing the Whipping cream and Cream cheese

We're using normal cream cheese instead of the more expensive mascarpone, but don't worry, it still achieves a creamy and tangy flavor.

Whip 200ml of whipping cream until it forms stiff peaks, and do the same for 250g of cream cheese. Combine the two whipped creams, add 3 tablespoons of icing sugar, and mix until well combined. Set aside 1/3 of the mixture to use as filling for the base of the cake, and add the remaining 2/3 of the mixture to the strawberry custard, ensuring it has a consistent texture.

Assembling the cake

We're keeping it simple and cost-effective by using Marie biscuits as the base. No need to crush them or add butter.


Begin by pouring 100ml of strawberry milk into a bowl and proceed to soak the Marie biscuits in the milk. After soaking, line up the biscuits at the bottom of the springform cake pan. Next, spread 1/3 of the cream cheese mixture on top of the biscuit layer. Then, create a second layer of soaked Marie biscuits on top of the cream cheese layer before pouring the strawberry custard on top. Chill the cake in the freezer for 30 minutes before pouring the glaze on top.

Strawberry Glaze

Add 1 teaspoon of gelatin to 50ml of water. Then add 2 tablespoon of strawberry jam. Microwaved the glaze mixture until the gelatin has melted. Stir vigorously until it has cooled down then pour on top of the cake. After this, chill the cake overnight. 

Impress your family and friends with this delicious treat that's quick and easy to make. IMPORTANT TIPS : The cake must be chilled OVERNIGHT. Cutting it before the deadline will give you runny cream.

150ml Puree strawberries

125ml strawberry milk

4 tablespoon custard powder

100ml Non Dairy Whipping Cream

INGREDIENT - STRAWBERRY GLAZE

1 teaspoon gelatin

50ml Water

2 tablespoon Strawberry Jam

INGREDIENT - CAKE BASE

1 pack of Marie biscuits

125ml Strawberry Milk
